Ané Wanliss
Litigation Associate

Ané Wanliss is a Litigation Associate at Vivid IP, where she works closely with clients to protect and strengthen their intellectual property through strategy and consistent communication. She joined the firm in Fall 2025, bringing a robust litigation background.

She began her career in public relations for pharmaceutical and fintech companies in New York City, an experience which sharpened her understanding of brand value, messaging, and the real-life stakes behind intellectual property—experience that continues to shape how she approaches her work. (After all, clear communication matters most when the stakes are high.) Having been especially drawn to the legal side of PR, Ané enrolled in law school, developing a focused interest in IP litigation

Today, Ané holds a particular interest in fashion and the entrepreneurs shaping that industry. She places ample value on providing timely, transparent updates—ensuring clients always understand where they stand, what comes next, and how to make informed decisions that will protect their work.

Ané is energized by Vivid’s culture and returns that energy in spades. She appreciates an environment where ideas are shared freely and innovative thinking is part of the daily workflow.

Why vivid ip?

“The energy and drive at Vivid stood out to me right away. This is a high-performing, successful team that values creativity in problem-solving and encourages collaboration at every level. I’m inspired by colleagues who are willing to share ideas and think beyond the obvious—always in service of the client. This environment pushes me to do better work and think more expansively about how we protect our clients’ intellectual property.”

WHAT’s one piece of advice you’ll never forget?

It’s something my first boss shared with me years ago: “Do something you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” It’s a great piece of advice, and has stayed with me ever since. It reminds me that enjoying the work matters—and that when you care deeply about what you’re doing, the effort comes naturally.

How would your colleagues describe you?

“They’d probably say I’m always willing to lend a helping hand. I try to be a colleague my teammates can rely on. Consistency matters, too. I’m there, whether that means stepping in when something needs extra attention or just making sure clients stay in the know.”

What are some of your passions outside of entertainment law?

“The classics. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, shopping, and spending time with family. But I love experiences that push me out of my comfort zone, too. I once climbed the highest mountain peak in Jamaica. It wasn’t easy, but it was incredibly rewarding (and definitely memorable).”
